• Dr. Blaurock has worn contact lenses successfully (monovision) for many years and prides himself on being an expert in this part of his practice. It is not unusual that by the time Dr. Blaurock puts the left contact on there is no sensation on the right.

• With today’s multifocal or monovision contact lenses, we can eliminate the need for reading glasses. This is truly a gift that keeps on giving.

• Gas permeable contact lenses, while not being my first choice for the vast majority of new patients, do have their place. Certain eye diseases and traumas necessitate their use. Also, there are still many patients who have been wearing them successfully for many years. For these reasons, they are still being fitted.
